Songs that make me cry in movies
A lot of my favorite movies involve great music. The choice of song in a scene can completely make or break the scene... same going for a film's soundtrack. Watching The Virgin Suicides and Almost Famous warps me into a seventies flowerchild. Love the music from especially these two scenes.
Zooey Desch tells her little brother before she leaves home: "light a candle, play this song and you'll see your life". I cry...
Gilbert O'Sullivan? I spent my entire life looking for this song and once I found it I never let it goooooZooey Desch tells her little brother before she leaves home: "light a candle, play this song and you'll see your life". I cry...
Trainspotting is a great movie but I wouldn't have considered it one of my favorites if it weren't for the ending scene. You have to watch the entire movie to appreciate the ending but Underworld fucking kicks this. I've had wet dreams about hearing this song in public and the first time I did was at this amazing beautiful club in Hong Kong. Vodka in one hand, amazing sound system, beautiful people, and Underworld blasting from all directions. How much better could it really be? Orgasm in my panties.

This link is SO worth clicking since I'm saving the best for last. Babel was a great movie but this scene literally brought tears to my eyes. This storyline is about a deaf girl who takes ecstasy and goes to a club that's playing a remix of Earth Wind and Fire's "September". Makes you appreciate the beauty of music, the world and mind-opening substances.

Im gonna be the prettiest bitch at this wedding
So instead of applying to jobs like a good girl I'm wasting my time watching Jersey Shore episodes that I've already seen, coordinating my closet by season... and huffing and puffing about the bridesmaid dress I'm gonna have to wear for labor day.
A couple months ago I get a call from my sister saying I can choose any dress under "Crinkle Chiffon" by Jenny Yoo. So obviously, I choose this one knowing I want to be the prettiest fucking bitch at the wedding and I want everybody to stare at me:

Imagine its train flowing in the wind and my hair back in a loose braided bun... with gold shoes, amazing earrings and a bare neck. The dress is perfect cause it's simple yet the details are amazing and its elegant and graceful and stunning... basically, the dress personifies myself.
I tell my sister I choose the dress and she says "no, I actually want all the bridesmaids to wear short dresses". WHAT????!!!!!!!!!! AM.... I ?!!! SUPPOSED ??? TO .. DO???

Designers afraid of color
I get it. I get the whole entire black or white collection. So Coco chic. But...
I've always been a Dior Gal. Can't help it but MELT at even the pictures. Especially love the resort collections cause they're especially colorful and obvi, the couture.
Starting off with some Anna Sui, Dior, then DVF, these are a random collage of looks I instantly liked off this season's RTW.

The Voyage of Life
A couple years ago I took an American Art History course and came across this set of paintings by Thomas Cole. The real paintings are located right in the National Gallery of Art in DC so I was lucky enough to see them in person.
Whenever I have friends come to visit me in DC I take them to the room where these 4 paintings are displayed. The room is shaped like a diamond, is painted dark blue with hardwood floors and high ceilings and each wall has one of the paintings. I could live in that room.

The end can be interpreted in many ways. I'm pretty sure Cole was Christian but either way, I'm buddhist and I still am in love with the paintings. The angels aren't limiting to represent "heaven" but it could simply represent a higher power, whether it be within yourself or not, that guides you through the rough times in life.
These last 2 posts have been miserable. But I have my reasons.
